Background

Our expertise and experience in the conversion of existing buildings, into high-end residential apartments, for a client whose philosophy is to deliver a good quality end product has allowed us to become an invaluable part of their Design Team. Projects have ranged from simple 2-storey buildings to high density multi-storey single staircase schemes with challenging internal layouts. Through the provision of a dedicated Client Manager we are able to provide our client with a single point of contact to avoid misinterpretations and communications within the Design Team and overall Approved Inspector process.

Outcome

We were involved in the conversion of an existing 3-storey office building in Ashtead, Surrey into high spec apartments. As part of the Design Team we were able to answer fundamental queries quickly and concisely, avoiding abortive costs and delays on the scheme, especially regarding the thermal upgrade of the aged property. Our early involvement in the scheme was greatly appreciated by our client, especially our proactive approach to liaise with the Fire Authority which helped move the scheme forward to a satisfactory completion.
